Explorer Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the maker of Explorer ("we"). By creating an account or using Explorer's online features, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

Using Explorer

• Explorer maps where you've travelled and helps you plan trips. You can use the map, your photos, location logging, stats and your own trips without an account.
• An account is needed for features that send information to us or to services we use on your behalf: place searches and details, Plan with AI, finding calendar events on the map, and sharing, following and commenting.
• You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account, or the minimum age to consent to data processing where you live if that's higher (16 in some countries).
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your content

• You own the trips, photos, comments and tips you share ("your content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and send your content, so we can run Explorer and show it to the people you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies others have legitimately saved and backups that are cleared in the normal course of operations.
• Only share content you have the right to share, including photos of other people.
• You choose who can see each trip: only you, your approved followers, or everyone.

Community rules: zero tolerance

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post or send anything that:

• harasses, threatens, bullies or hates on anyone, including for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality;
• is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
• encourages violence, self-harm or anything illegal or dangerous;
• shares someone else's private information, such as their home address or location, without permission;
• is spam, a scam, misleading, or impersonates someone;
• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.

You can report any trip, comment or person, and block anyone. We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or remove the accounts of people who post it. Content reported by several people is hidden automatically until we review it.

Travel information and AI plans

Place details, routes, travel times, opening hours and AI-generated plans come from third parties (Google Maps, Wikipedia, Anthropic's Claude, Apple Intelligence) and may be wrong or out of date. Check important details, such as opening times, safety advice, visas and entry rules, before you travel. You're responsible for your own safety and decisions while travelling.

Tokens, ads and Premium

• Tokens pay for features that cost us money, such as place searches and AI plans. They have no cash value and can't be sold, transferred or refunded. We may change how many tokens each plan includes or what features cost.
• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms, and you can manage it in your Apple Account settings.
• If you choose Free with Ads, Google AdMob shows ads when you ask to watch one.

Other services

Explorer uses Google Maps. By using Explorer you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to the app.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: You → your profile → Edit Profile → Account & Sign-In → Delete Account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the law.

Disclaimers and liability

Explorer is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will always be available, accurate or error-free. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on travel information or AI plans. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we'll ask you to agree to the new version in the app before you keep using online features.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
